The Hecht Sustainable Protein Research Center and the Carasso FoodTech Innovation Center are pleased to invite students and postdoctoral researchers to submit poster abstracts for the conference Beyond the Hype: Science, Technology, and Innovation in Sustainable Protein.

The poster session will provide a forum for presenting current research and for scientific exchange with an interdisciplinary audience spanning food science, biotechnology, engineering, nutrition, sustainability, and related fields. Accepted posters will be included in the Best Poster Competition, and selected presenters may be invited to deliver a short flash talk during the conference.

We welcome submissions from students and postdoctoral researchers whose work advances sustainable protein and food innovation.

Relevant topics may include, but are not limited to:

  • Novel protein sources and their functionality
  • Cellular agriculture and cultivated food systems
  • Fermentation and bioprocessing
  • Technologies for food structuring and texture design
  • Innovative processing technologies
  • Nutrition, digestibility, and health aspects of proteins and novel ingredients
  • Sustainable food systems and environmental assessment
  • Consumer behavior, communication, and adoption of new protein technologies
  • Computational, analytical, or systems approaches relevant to sustainable protein research and innovation
  • Plant biotechnology and molecular farming for protein production
  • Edible insect science and technology
